Tom Wiggins, also known as “Big Wig,” brings his deep passion for bass guitar and vocals to the band, anchoring their sound with impeccable tone and a solid groove. His musical style is heavily influenced by legends like Rocco Prestia(Tower of Power), John Taylor(Duran Duran), Verdine White(Earth Wind & Fire), and James Jamerson(Motown), among others, reflecting a rich blend of funk, soul, and rock influences.
Before joining The Bitz, Tom was actively involved in numerous cover bands around Austin, where he honed his skills in both corporate and club settings. His choice of instruments includes Fender bass guitars paired with Mesa Boogie amps, allowing him to achieve that signature low-end sound that defines his playing.
Tom’s astrological sign is Libra, and beyond music, he’s known for his love of sports and is always ready to engage in lively conversations about the latest games and events. In The Bitz, Tom Wiggins stands out as the “Ace in Hole for Soul,” perpetually channeling what he calls the “Gospel of Groove” through his music. Tom is also the founder and CEO of Big Wig Enterprises LLC which books The Bitz!

“ ANGELICA TORRES, our powerhouse female vocalist, masters every vocal seamlessly. 

 Angelica had a successful 30 year acting & singing career in Hollywood. She started her acting career as a child at age 7, starring in numerous national commercials, a series regular of a network tv show, musical theater productions on and off Broadway, modeling, and voiceover work. In her young adult years she starred in numerous films and tv shows. As a singer/songwriter she wrote, produced, distributed and published 19 pop singles, 6 music videos, and her own tv show, that was based on her songwriting. 

 Angelica recently moved to the Austin area and was so pleased to join THE BITZ. Her influences are way too vast to name, and her experience levels are hard to exceed. Her last band was a worship band at her church in Los Angeles, and she’s so happy to join another team, here in Austin.”

Jeff Young aka JY Bit, his musical journey reflects a diverse and rich background rooted in New York. Growing up in a home filled with music, Jeff developed a deep passion for a variety of genres from an early age. His versatility as a musician is evident across different musical landscapes, from musical theatre to street performances, and spanning over a dozen cover bands throughout his career.

Jeff’s experience extends beyond live performances; he has also delved into soundtrack work and voice-over projects, showcasing his adaptability and skills as a session player. His dedication to music spans two decades, during which he has not only played drums but also contributed vocals, highlighting his multifaceted talents in both rhythm and melody.

Throughout his journey, Jeff Young has embraced every facet of the music industry with enthusiasm and joy, making significant contributions across various musical domains. His commitment to his craft and love for music are evident in his enduring passion and continued dedication to his artistry.

Richard Stanz, also known as RS Bit, has had a diverse musical journey rooted in his classical piano training and deep involvement in live music scenes. Originally from the Midwest, he honed his skills at Indiana University during the 1980s before settling in Austin in the 1990s.
In Austin, Richard immersed himself in the vibrant music scene, playing keyboards and bass with original bands. However, since 1999, he has transitioned into performing with wedding and party bands, showcasing his versatility across genres from classical to high-energy dance music. He serves as the ‘Nerve Center’ on keyboards for the Bitz, a role that likely involves coordinating and directing the musical flow during performances.
Beyond music, Richard has a passion for running, having been a former marathoner. Nowadays, he enjoys more relaxed trail runs in and around Austin, blending his love for music with an active lifestyle in his vibrant Texan community.

DW Bit, also known as Deneen Wuthrich, is a guitarist and vocalist with a rich musical background rooted in the rock music of the 70s and 80s. Raised as the son of a preacher in Fredericksburg, his journey into music was sparked by the iconic presence of KISS. Starting out with a distinctive style featuring parachute pants, high-top sneakers, bandanas, and concert tees, DW Bit has evolved into a skilled guitarist capable of delivering electrifying solos and soul-stirring blues melodies.
His musical influences are diverse, ranging from Van Halen and The Police to ZZ Top, Def Leppard, Duran Duran, and Metallica, showcasing his versatility and love for rock music in its various forms. DW Bit is known for his ability to command the stage, often being asked to turn up the volume due to his impactful performances. Beyond guitar prowess, he excels in harmony vocals and embraces multiple styles of music with equal passion.
Outside of music, DW Bit is a fan of stand-up comedy, science fiction, and enjoys delving into the rich history of music. His eclectic interests and deep musical roots make him a formidable presence in the rock scene, blending technical skill with a genuine love for the art form.
